PocketChop
サンプラー

Turn any track into an instrument. Chop, play, sequence and record — a pocket sampler for iPhone and iPad.

Features

  • Waveform chopping. Drag to slice, pinch to zoom, up to 24 chops per sample.
  • 24 low-latency pads with per-pad attack, release, low-pass filter, level, delay, reverb, pitch and time-stretch — all at once in a 6×4 grid, or 8 big pads across three banks.
  • Scenes. Up to 8 pattern + chop-layout snapshots per session — switch them live, and export any scene as an M4A beat.
  • Pattern sequencer with on-beat count-in, adjustable loop length or free-length ∞ recording, and BPM from 40 to 240.
  • Record your full mix to M4A, or capture raw audio with the field recorder.
  • Play it your way. Touch, typing keyboard, or MIDI controllers — wired or Bluetooth.
  • Sessions. Save everything and pick up where you left off.
  • No account. No subscription.

Accessibility

Reduce Animations. A setting in the app turns off the pads' press, glow and tilt animations for a calmer, lower-motion display — visual feedback stays, movement goes.

Light and dark themes. PocketChop follows your system appearance, or lets you pin either theme.

Play without the touch screen. The pads can be played from a connected typing keyboard or any MIDI controller (wired or Bluetooth), as an alternative to on-screen touch.

Accessibility feedback is especially welcome — see Support below.

Privacy

PocketChop collects no data. None.

Audio stays on your device. Songs you import, recordings you make with the microphone, and everything you create in the app are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad and are never uploaded, transmitted or shared with anyone.

Storage access is required only to import audio files from your device, and to save your sketches and demos.

Microphone access is requested only when you use the field recorder, and the audio it captures is saved only to your device.

No tracking. PocketChop contains no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and no account system. It makes no network requests.

Sharing is under your control. If you export a chop or recording, it goes only where you send it via the iOS share sheet.

If this policy ever changes, the update will be published on this page. Last updated: July 10, 2026.
