Engineering, design, sound, and code — always driven by curiosity. Here it is, in the order it actually happened.
Born in Naples — a city where noise, beauty, and improvisation are part of the curriculum.
I started drawing as a child. Over time, it became a habit — I sketch constantly, and some sketches grow into something more. It's still where every project of mine begins.
A gift from my father: an eMachines portable notebook. I tweaked a lot with it — had to break it multiple times before understanding how not to break it. That loop of breaking and fixing never really stopped.
At 14 I opened a DAW for the first time and never closed it. Self-taught producer: composition, sound design, mixing, mastering — a decade of ear training, released as Hart.
Five years of maths, physics, latin, and existential dread at Liceo Tito Lucrezio Caro, Napoli. Where the scientific method became a reflex.
Awarded a two-week EU-funded English programme at Bournville College, Birmingham — just before Brexit changed the rules. Came back with sharper English and a taste for working across cultures; certified Cambridge C1 the year after.
BSc in Materials Science & Engineering at Federico II (101/110). Years of lab work — rheology, spectroscopy, chemical foaming of polyurethanes. Thesis on sound-absorbing porous materials: the first time my two worlds officially met.
Sound expanded into real-time visual systems via TouchDesigner. When audio becomes geometry: performance as a live feedback loop between audio signal and generated imagery.
Bar staff at a Naples record shop — pouring drinks between crates of vinyl. Not a career move; absolutely worth it.
Formalised a decade of self-taught audio with a Regione Campania qualification: sound design, signal routing in live audio and AV systems, live mixing, studio recording. Internship at Teatro TAN, Naples — hands-on live-audio and stage AV work.
Now in the MSc at Federico II, with a personal focus on the intersection of materials and sound — acoustics as an engineering problem.
Full-time programme at Federico II covering app development, design, and innovation. Built 7 apps across team and solo projects — several with on-device AI (FoundationModels, Vision), shipped to the App Store and TestFlight.
Everything converged into PocketChop — a sample slicer and step sequencer for iPad, built entirely in Swift Playgrounds. The drawing hand, the producer's ear, the engineer's method, all in one app. Apple picked it as a Swift Student Challenge 2026 winner.
Four fields, one method: understand the material, shape the signal, ship the tool.

Sample slicer and step sequencer for iPad. Built entirely in Swift Playgrounds.
What it does
Import any audio file, slice it into up to 16 named regions, assign each to a pad, and build patterns in a 64-step sequencer. Includes a piano roll, per-pad FX and ADSR envelopes, and full-mix recording — all offline, no internet required. Design language inspired by teenage engineering hardware.
Why I built it
I wanted a real production tool that ran entirely on iPad — no laptop, no subscription. PocketChop sits at the centre of the three things I do: sound, engineering precision, and iOS craftsmanship.

Team and solo projects built at the Academy — several with on-device AI, shipped to the App Store and TestFlight.
Hart · Production & Artworks
A decade of production, released as Hart — composition, sound design, mixing, and every cover artwork.
